Associate Director
Andrew brings considerable senior management experience from his career in a range of business sectors.
He has been involved at a senior level with the rail industry for over a decade during which he represented his Group Company, Abellio, on Rail Delivery Group boards as well as director roles within the Abellio TOCs. Andrew worked as a Commercial Director at the train operators Abellio Greater Anglia and West Midlands Trains, where his responsibilities covered sales, marketing, property management and construction, customer services, procurement, media relations, corporate affairs, franchise management, internal communications, retail systems and fares. Andrew has retired from working within the train operating company environment and is now acting as a consultant with VA Rail.
Andrew is also actively involved in the primary healthcare sector where he has worked as a NED and interim CEO for a GP run not for profit primary healthcare organisation since 2009.
Prior to working in the rail industry Andrew has held senior positions in The Foreign & Commonwealth Office where he led the commercial directorate and the Office of Government Commerce where he provided commercial support to the formal Gateway reviews of major ICT and Estate projects across central government. He has also worked at senior level within the utility industry where he held Group Marketing and Head of Commercial roles.
