VA Rail have provided independent expert support for the industry Project Management Office on timetable assurance and traincrew resourcing since October 2018.
The work involves close collaboration with the client team (from Director through to project managers) to prepare for and conduct reviews, which involve Network Rail and multiple train operators, followed by analysis of the findings.
As the review process has matured it has been possible to share good practice and transfer knowledge gleaned from previous reviews and from other related industry projects VA Rail has been involved in.
The review process identifies and highlights key risks and issues so that they can be resolved ahead of introducing a new timetable.
